There's one thing I've always appreciated about Nick Perdomo - pumping out new releases isn't his top priority. He'd rather maintain his current stable of champions, and only release new blends when all the stars align. His son, Nick Perdomo III seems to be walking the same path with this tribute to his father, Perdomo Legacy. Showcasing their new hybrid leaf, a combination of Cameroon and Cuban seed, Legacy has a lot going for it..
Cigars come and go from my desk like the tide. That's why Perdomo Legacy Maduro caught my attention. Not only does it boast a 10-year-aged Maudro wrapper leaf (aged 14 months in bourbon barrels), but the new hybrid leaf is put into play as the binder. Medium to full-bodied and packing generous notes of cocoa bean, coffee, and dark toast, it's a winner. To all the Perdomo Maduro fans, you should be all over this one.
