Caldwell Cigar Co Yellow Cake has always been the kind of “dessert” that pairs best with a comfy chair and zero responsibilities, and its cult following proves it. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like cake? While this delight requires a different torch than your local bakery’s Creme Brulee, the enjoyment level is on par. Originally released in 2014 as an “event-only” cigar, Yellow Cake’s popularity has birthed a special release.
The 2026 iteration of Yellow Cake will feature two different wrappers with a Nicaraguan Habano and a San Andres Maduro. Caldwell uses long-filler “leftover” tobaccos from previous blends. Personally speaking, sometimes leftovers are better the second time around anyway. Nuance of white pepper and cedar gives this medium to full-bodied profile the satisfaction of a job well done. This fan-favorite proves there is nothing plain with this slice of Yellow Cake.
